"Planet Bike fenders shown are optional, and when ordered along with a bike are $30.00...that's a $9.99 savings over ordering your fenders after the fact." — http://www.swobo.com/catalog/product_info_b.php?cPath=201_207
without a lot of extra $$$ spent on new components (wheels, pedals, seat, shimano internal hub) you don't have much of a bike here.
that said, i've put >6k in strictly urban riding (with the good components) and have found the bike to be more than adequate. but why spend 50% of the retail price on components that actually make the bike work?
swobo customer service folks aren't very helpful/nice either.
