Clearly this a big turn of events for Trek. For those looking for that that carbon fiber look, they will start offering special faux-fiber paint effects for fork and seat posts.

I love it! As an owner of three old steel Treks (a '78 and two '80s), I only wish this weren't an April Fools post!
Good for them that they got alternative solution for their action. How can they continue the production of aluminum and carbon fiber if the consumers are longer need it.
That iss absurd and not true. Although more steel models would be nice There are 2013 model carbon models out now on the Trek website.
Just stumbled across this post (July 2012). I got so excited (while still dubious) til realizing the joke. Good one! I only wish a big bike company would come to their senses on the racing vs. practical bike issue. Oh well, there's always Torker! Mmm, or the Belleville though...
