Linus Bikes has added this 8-speed roadster to its lineup up of simple and elegant bikes inspired by the French bicycle designs of the '50s and '60s (see our previous post about Linus here).

From the catalog, the Mixte and Dutchi are also available in 8-speed versions this year. These compare nicely with the bikes by Public, and will be a good option for people who live in hilly areas, where a 3-speed may not be enough.
I also like the last to bikes on the list, with 5-speed Sturmey Archer hubs. These have a range that is similar to a 7-speed from Shimano, and are almost as good for hilly areas. And they have that classic look that's lacking from the modern, aluminum Shimano Nexus hub.
