Who, Nelly, now that is a beautiful bike at a not-unreasonable price. Still, I don't have the budget for one today... and it's likely about 2cm to small. Still, it's on my list now.
This seems really expensive for a pretty simple steel frame bike. I would love to see bikes like this go for ~$600-$700.
This is too expensive of a bike for urban areas where it's at risk of theft.

Time to review Abici, I think. Elegant designs for city bikes, without the Dutch/Pashley weight penalties. You can see most of the model range at the first link, but it's missing my personal favourite (I built a city bike much like it), which is the second link.

Nice bike, very good price for a lugged steel bike with nice components and an internal hub. This is for the *full bike* ready to ride. Sometimes a lugged steel frame can cost as much as this bike. Not cheap, but a good value.
Just as a point of comparison, a 1993 Bridgestone XO-1 just went for over $1,000 on ebay. The XO was much like this bike - quality lugged steel frame, mustache handlebars, brazed for racks, etc. So think of it this way -- you can get a brand-new Cambridge for just a little bit more than a 16-year-old XO-1 would cost you on ebay.

I agree the price is a little steep. You can get a real Pashley imported from England for that price.
